Who is an IBCLC anyway?
An International Board Certified Lactation Consultant is the gold standard in lactation care. These professionals have 2+ years of college courses in the social and physical sciences, 90+ hours of breastfeeding education, and at least 1,000 contact hours advising breastfeeding moms and babies. They also have to pass an exam every 10 years to re-certify.

The transition to parenthood can be overwhelming and support makes all the difference! Come, sit, and chat with other families who are in the same season of life. A lactation consultant is present for free advice. The group meets every Monday (except holidays) from 12pm to 1pm at 2626 Care Drive, near Capital Regional Medical Center.
Learn about breastfeeding before baby arrives! Participants of this class will learn how to get breastfeeding off to the best start, along with common challenges and how to handle them.
